My little Artists!

One thing that we're really trying to instill in our kids is a great imagination!!!  With colder weather on the way and a long winter of being cooped up inside we decide to take advantage of a beautiful Fall evening and let their imaginations run wild.....What a blast!!!  There were no rules, and no boundaries (although we did try and keep them out of the neighbors yard)....Just hands and feet and an empty canvas!!!  If you're looking for something crazy and fun to do with you kids.....this was a blast!  The messier they got, the more fun we all had!!!  (Just make sure to have a bath ready with lots of soap....oh and some cu-tips too!!)  Enjoy!!

Learnfest

I just got back form a three day photography conference on Bald Head Island in NC!!!  It was Awesome!!!  Not only did I have a chance to learn from some of the best portrait photographers in the country (Audrey Woulard, Tamara Lackey, Lena Hyde and Laura Novak), I also met so many other really great "learn-ees"!!!  Of course, none of this would have been possible without the support of the most amazing husband in the world!!  Not only did he take a few days off of work to watch the kiddos, he managed to dress our baby girl without prior instructions, and even did a load of laundry before I got home!!!  The pictures above include a look outside the little cottage I stayed in while I was there!  It was a little stormy that day but I can't complain because the experience was AWESOME!!

Look who's Three...

Remember this handsome little guy?  He was one of my first ever clients!!  We took pictures of him right around this time last year!!  Well now he's turning three and he sure is growing up fast!! Funny thing, as I was going through all his adorable pictures I just kept thinking of....well.....my little girl???   Some day she's going to grow up and some handsome boy with blonde hair and blue eyes just like these are going to steel her heart!!   One can only hope she finds someone from a good family like this one....!!!!   Then again I know his parents from high school.....I think were all in for it when these kids grow up!!  Yikes!!

Meet My Dr. Seuss....

A while ago I added my husband's blog to the side bar.  I decided he's way to talented for just the side bar.  He just finished writing and illustrating the first of many book ideas he has for kids.   It's currently at the printer.  As soon as he gets it back he's going to start shopping it around to publishers.  This particular book is called "Rocco and Joey and the Widdly Wink that lost it's Wunk".  It's the story of a boy and his dog and their quest to find a Wunk.....Curious for more....you'll just have to wait until some lucky publisher decides to print!!  In the meantime, feel free to check out his blogs for a look at more of his work.

In the meantime, if you have any contacts in the industry, it always helps to "know people".  Feel free to pass along any information you might have!    bellygiggles@roadrunner.com or joeromano31@roadrunner.com

Rain, Rain Go Away!

We rescheduled this shoot once because of rain, and the morning we were ready to try again...you guessed it...rain!!  Well we decide to give it a try anyway.  We started out under a pavilion and after a few shots the weather started to improve!  Rain or no rain, these girls were all smiles!!!  I have to keep pinching myself with all of these wonderful families.  This one was no exception!!  Not only are they picture perfect, they were so much fun!!  As usual, I had a hard time deciding what to post.  Then I realized, it's my blog,  I can post as many pictures as I want...I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!!

Summer Fun

Nothing beats a summer morning in the backyard with mom, dad and a swing set!!  I couldn't have asked for a better day or more beautiful smiles!!  Seriously could this be a better job....running around photographing smiling little faces, laughing and playing.....not a care in the world!  It really does help you appreciate the little thing in life!
